A MAJOR OVERSEAS DEVELOPMENT FOCUS FOR AUDENCIA

Created in 2016 by Audencia and Shenzhen University in Guangdong Province in China, SABS currently hosts 4 programmes, including a DBA launched in 2018. They constitute a portfolio of programmes that is likely to expand, given the School’s attractiveness.

“The number of students at the school has tripled on the back of the year’s recruitment efforts and the increase in the number of Audencia Nantes students doing their international semester at SABS (100 for the academic year 2018-2019),” said Christophe Germain, Dean of Audencia and Dean of SABS. And, as of spring 2018, students on the Grande École programme can spend a semester there focused on the city’s key areas: finance, innovation and entrepreneurship.

First major alumni event in Shenzhen

Four hundred people attended the first major alumni event in China, held in Shenzhen on 21 March. Students attending courses at SABS, Executive MBA participants on study trips in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, students on the Grande École programme doing their international term at SABS, Audencia graduates working in China as well as the SABS administrative and teaching teams all spent an evening dedicated to creating closer links between Audencia communities with a shared interest in China. The event will be repeated in 2019.

Chengdu: Launch of a Masters in Business Administration to add to the BBA and the DBA.
Chengdu, a city central to the Chinese government’s “One belt, one road” project, firmly established its position as Audencia’s second area of activity in China alongside Shenzhen. While the BBA programme welcomed 100 first-year students at the start of the new academic year, adding to the 100 second-year students, the success of the DBA programme was confirmed. A new partnership with the university was signed for the launch of an Executive Masters in Business Administration, with 40 participants already enrolled. The campus is home to around 400 students (across all programmes).

“Our presence in China, the result of many years working in collaboration with our academic partners and local teams, is a success. Our objective for 2019 will be to see SABS recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Higher Education and Research,” announced Christophe Germain, Dean of Audencia Business School and Director of SABS.
